All Adventure Day Camp participants and Summer Paddling Program participants are required to wear a certified life jacket at all times when on the water (life belts are no longer accepted).
Â
Life jackets must be certified in Canada (by Canadian Coast Guard or the Canadian Ministry of Transport) and the certification number must be visible on the jacket. The jackets must not have any rips, and all straps and buckles must be in good working order and fastened when on the water.
Summer Paddling Program participants (not Adventure Day Camp participants) require a racing singlet for regattas. Racing singlets are purchased through RAMP (choose “Recreational Youth Member” as the category), and will be available for pickup at the Open House in June. Cost: $55.00. Any other Maskwa member needing to purchase a singlet should also do so through RAMP, using the same category as listed above.
Â
Note: Singlets must be purchased online and are not sold in person at the Club.
Summer Paddling Program participants (not Adventure Day Camp participants) also require a bun, which is a small colorful cushion that athletes use to kneel on when in a sprint canoe. Buns are purchased through RAMP (choose “Recreational Youth Member” as the category), and will be available for pickup at the Open House in June. Cost: $40.00.
Note: Buns must be purchased online and are not sold in person at the Club.
