Read below for details on your child's upcoming summer at Maskwa! Note: Open House on Saturday, June 11th from 2:00-4:00PM! Come meet our coaches, browse the grounds, and pick up your bun / singlet!

Our 2022 Summer Info Packet has everything you need to know about your upcoming summer at Maskwa! Find out what to bring, where to go when you arrive and more.

regattas

Participants of the full summer paddling program have the opportunity to compete in two regattas for their age group. The Regatta Info Sheet contains the 2022 regatta schedule and more.

If you need to share medical information about your child attending summer programming, please complete the online form below. (Note: Maskwa will enforce and comply with all required public health measures, a current list of which can be found here).

CODE OF CONDUCT

Please review the 2022 Code of Conduct, which outlines the expected behavior from all participants. Parents are encouraged to review this with their children.

Summer CAmp Equipment & other details

Life Jackets

All Day Camp participants and Summer Paddling Program participants are required to wear a Certified PFD at all times when on the water (life belts are no longer accepted).

 

Life jackets must be certified in Canada (by Canadian Coast Guard or the Canadian Ministry of Transport), and the certification number must be visible on the jacket. The life jacket must not have any rips, and all straps and buckles must be in good working order and done up when on the water. 

racing singlets

Summer Program participants will also require a racing singlet ($45) to be worn in regattas, which can be purchased via the link under the Register Now menu. Singlets will be available for distribution at the Open House in the Spring, or during the first week of programming. Note: Singlets can only be purchased online: they will not be available to purchase in person at the Club

buns

Participants of the Summer Paddling Program also require a bun ($30), which is a small cushion that athletes use to kneel on when in a sprint canoe. These can be purchased via the link under the Register Now menu. Buns will be available for distribution at the Open House in the Spring, or during the first week of programming. Note: Buns can only be purchased online: they will not be available to purchase in person at the Club.

Lunch Lady Program & Canteen

Maskwa has partnered with The Lunch Lady to bring you delicious lunch options throughout July & August. Lunch program registration and ordering details can be found in the below Lunch Lady Welcome Letter.

 

In addition, the Maskwa canteen will have lots of snacks and treats available (cash only).
