All Day Camp participants and Summer Paddling Program participants are required to wear a Certified PFD at all times when on the water (life belts are no longer accepted).
Life jackets must be certified in Canada (by Canadian Coast Guard or the Canadian Ministry of Transport), and the certification number must be visible on the jacket. The life jacket must not have any rips, and all straps and buckles must be in good working order and done up when on the water.
Summer Program participants require a racing singlet to be worn in regattas, which will soon be available for purchase ($55) under the Register Now menu. Singlets will be available for distribution at the Open House in the Spring, or during the first week of programming. Note: Singlets can only be purchased online: they will not be available to purchase in person at the Club
Participants of the Summer Paddling Program also require a bun, which is a small cushion that athletes use to kneel on when in a sprint canoe (2023 cost to be determined; 2022 cost was $30). These will soon be available for purchase under the Register Now menu. Buns will be available for distribution at the Open House in the Spring, or during the first week of programming. Note: Buns can only be purchased online: they will not be available to purchase in person at the Club.
