Registration for our Summer 2022 programs opens on March 1st at 9:00AM.
To register, go to the Register menu at the top of the page, and choose a program from the drop-down. (Note: if you do not see the program you are looking for, it means registration is no longer available).
Swimming lessons are also part of the Paddling Program. Swim Kids Levels 5-10 are provided at no additional charge (Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross are a separate charge). Each level is a total of 10 classes that take place daily (Mon-Fri) for two weeks over the summer season. Lessons run during dryland training time, and are unlimited throughout the summer (paddling program participants can enroll in all levels). Report cards to let you know your child’s performance are provided at the end of each completed session. Interested individuals MUST register in order to partake in swimming lessons.
Summer Paddling Program participants require a certified PFD (life jacket), a Maskwa racing singlet, and a bun (small cushion for the knee when kneeling in the canoe). Certified PFDs are purchased on your own, while racing singlets & buns are purchased through Maskwa. Purchasing details will be provided via email to registered participants.
Summer Paddling Program participants may withdraw within the first week of the program, by notifying the Club Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than one week past the program start date. Refunds up to this date will be pro-rated. Only serious medical reasons will be considered after this, at which point refunds will be pro-rated. All refunds will be subject to a $50.00 administration fee. No refund will be issued if a participant is required to leave as the result of a conduct concern.
No matter what level you’re competing at – from Kearney Lake to World Juniors or National Team Trials- the Maskwa Code of Conduct board member is here for you.
Athletes should have a safe and respectful environment to train and compete in. For any athlete that would like to report or inquire about any issues you’re having (at any level) please reach out to our confidential Code of Conduct board member to discuss your issues.
As a non-for-profit organization and one of the largest paddling clubs in Canada there is always a need for funding for new equipment, events, and special projects. You can help us provide the best possible program experience for our 400+ members and their families by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorships are welcomed by individual, small business, and corporate donors.
