Summer paddling

The Summer Paddling Program at Maskwa is one of the best ways to spend a summer- on the lake, hanging out with friends, and honing your skills in the exciting sport of canoe kayak!.(Ages 8-13).

summer paddling program (8-weeks)

The Summer Paddling program is for everyone (no experience necessary for any of the levels!). Beginners receive quality coaching and supervision in single, double, and four-person racing canoes and kayaks (including war canoe), and have the opportunity to participate in local regattas tailored to their age and skill levles. Experienced paddlers can improve their skills and compete not only locally and regionally, but nationally and beyond.

program structure

Led by our experienced and energetic coaching staff, the Summer Paddling Program is organized into a four-block structure, with each age group participating in paddling activities, dryland activities (including basketball, jogging, races, outdoor games, sand court activities and more), with an hour-long lunch break in the middle of the day. Children will remain in their specific age groups, with the same coaches, for the entire summer. Enthusiastic summer paddlers may be invited by their coach to participate in one of our development group practices, which take place during the regular daily schedule
