Mark De Jonge Canoe Kayak Canada

Mark De Jonge

Mark de Jonge’s first goal in sprint kayak was simply to stay upright- a feeling that all our new paddlers experience! Nearly two decades later, Mark is one of the best sprint paddlers in the entire world, winning two World Championships, a bronze medal in his Olympic debut in London 2012, and many more international medals. Mark calls Maskwa Aquatic Club his home, and can often be seen around the club, making time for even the youngest of paddlers. We are proud of you, Mark!

our paddling club

Maskwa isn’t just the biggest paddling club in Atlantic Canada… it also has one of the best reputations (and a lake that’s fun and safe to swim in!). Our members are not just “members”. Many of our athletes are also summer coaches, and many of our parents are volunteers. We’re all part of the Maskwa family and share and enjoy our club together.

Our Canoe Club Sponsors

As a non-for-profit organization and one of the largest paddling clubs in Canada there is always a need for funding for new equipment, events, and special projects. You can help us provide the best possible program experience for our 400+ members and their families by becoming a sponsor.  Sponsorships are welcomed by individual, small business, and corporate donors.
